We used to have a black fraternity week in one of the towns at the Jersey Shore; it was such a mess I don’t even know if they hold it anymore. I recall they were looking for a new loction to trash, and didn’t like the idea of Asbury Park (where college gibsmedats would be beset upon by non-college gibsmedats).

is the official name of the event Urban Beach Week? I thought liberals have said that the word “urban” is one of those racist code words?? Or is it ok to use if liberals or blacks use it???
They held it in Virginia Beach for a while. (90s? It was after we moved). I think it eventually got moved on from there, too. My friend’s mother was Mayor for a long time, and *my* mother would call when she was on CNN over something: “partying” disorder, hurricane, or shark attack.
Unless the area covered by Urban Beach Week is under a city block, 600 police won’t be nearly enough.

It was uneventful and very quiet after last year's stabbings, fights and general bad behavior.
I was at the VB Court House several years ago on business when the “students,” lined up and shackled, were brought into the building. Most were 40’s or older, very rough and obviously not college students. One of the police horses was killed that year by these “not students” and the hotels were trashed.

I venture to North Beach every summer for a week of R&R. It’s almost like a foreign country down there for sure.
I speak Spanish, so I’m not bothered by it much—but my Cuban wife who grew up there was very disturbed by how “South American” it was looking last year when we went.
I have no idea why Miami doesn’t shut down this violent urbanfest—they’ve talked about it for years, but yet it keeps going.
Where are all those Military Armored Vehicles that PD’s have been acquiring? If they need to use them for anything, it’d be for these types of gatherings.
One does wonder why municipalities put up with these things.
Lol...I have relatives who never had to learn English because they never left that area. I don’t approve, but kin is kin.
They are saving them for use against us, My FRiend. Those pose no threat to them, i.e. their power. We, as men and women of good character, principles, and good morals, do. So, they are saving the heavy artillery for use against us because they live off the fat of our labor and live quite well. Once we decide we are retuning to the governing principles set forth in the Constitution, they have lost their grave train.
