Real Clear Politics Video ^ | May 22, 2014 | Ian Schwartz

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: I think what it is, it's an epidemic of incompetence and neglect because --precisely because as every one of these other scandals unfolded the administration mouths words about accountability, talks about responsibility, some people like the Secretary of State, even the president, say the buck stops here, but the buck stops nowhere because no one pays, no one is fired, no one is demoted.

If the scandal buck doesn’t stop on someone’s desk it will eventually overtake Voyager I. Which is my new tagline.

There is no accountability in the Obama administration.

Everything is blamed on outside forces, or carryover problems from Bush, or because of something outside the control of the president and administration.

He finds out about problems when he watches the news. And when he sees the news, he moves on day 1 to fix the problem.

I had to laugh when Obama said he was on top of the oil spill in the Gulf on day 1, when the media didn’t even report on that event until many days after it happened, and the oil spill was spreading. The president made no public comments about it until after the media started reporting it. Yet we were supposed to believe he had his foot on the neck of BP on day 1.

The buck stops in Obama’s pocket, the scandal just
flies right on by, deflected by his media hacks.

But Obama says he is maddeer than hell about it.

Heard some libs on MSNBC, probably Hardball, making excuses for why we shouldn’t expect Obama to be able to get such a massive bureaucracy as the Federal government working.

These are the same libs who cheer and root for Obamacare.

Obama is mentally ill. The proper (and easiest) move would have been to fire Shinseki. Obama couldn’t do it. That would be admitting that he’d made a mistake, and he can’t do that. That’s mental illness. It’s also cowardice and weakness.

“He finds out about problems when he watches the news. And when he sees the news, he moves on day 1 to fix the problem.”

*********
He never fixes anything. He only vaguely TALKS about fixing things. And then he walks away from it.

In contrast to Teddy Roosevelt, Obama talks loudly and carries a small stick.

Using the word “buck” is probably racist, a cruel term applied to black males in the days of slavery.

I agree many will take it that way. Can’t hurt their feelings.

Side note: I believe in the late 1700s, a dollar was called a buck because that was the amount a trader or hunter would get for selling a deer in town.
