To win the Idaho Republican Party primary and secure his position as the favorite to retain the state's top job, Gov. Butch Otter had to overcome a challenge from the far right and the far out that had the state GOP calling for unity Wednesday.
State Sen. Russ Fulcher came "surprisingly close" to defeating the two-term incumbent by courting conservative voters who thought their principles were being compromised....

Brown shunned political correctness as "bondage" and bragged about his love of insensitive jokes that "hit everybody." Bayes, for his part, called the federal government, "a bunch of Eastern idiots" and said the Supreme Court was "going to hell."

Brown sounds about right.
Yep. Fulcher was endorsed by Raul Labrador, 1st District Congressman, and that’s why they’re calling for “unity”. Being nearly upset was a real wakeup call to Otter and I don’t think he likes it very much.
I wonder why the “openly gay” homosexuals in the state controlled “media” never write about “the far left”. We’ve got clowns up in the District of Corruption who are to the left of Josef Stalin and the “media” toadies scare the bejeezus out of the low information types with boogie man stories about people who just want to say that they have been taxed enough already.
Well...but where are they when the MSM columnists are calling it an end to the tea party if a couple of entrenches get reelected?
The Tea Party candidates dominated the state and local primaries in the Coeur dAlene area, and Fulcher trounced Otter in Kootenai county - there were a couple major upsets for state reps.
I just saw Sharknado 2 in breaking news. Then I misread this title as “Republicans call for unity after Idaho sharknado.”
I thought “WTF?” (*snort*)
Otter has been a POS when it comes to dealing with his own IDFG’s mismanagement of wolf predation of livestock and destruction of the elk resource.
