Red Alert at the White House? When the VA scandal leads even such as Sam Stein to question liberalism . . . The VA scandal is getting so grievous for the Obama admin and for the liberal project at large that it has led even liberals to question their most cherished ideological beliefs.
On today's Morning Joe, Sam Stein of the Huffington Post wondered "is liberalism, is progressivism, in this instance the right thing" given that the additional money the Obama admin spent on the VA has not yielded results?

Did Donny boy have a seizure, or merely sputter?
Many employees (I hesitate to say “workers”) of the VA dislike Veterans. They feel the Veterans bother them, get in the way of their having a good day and take precious resources that should go toward employee retirement benefits. Abolish the VA...give Veterans chits to seek treatment in the private sector.
The BIGGEST problem with the VA and the thousands of entrenched civil servants and foreign trained "doctors" who don't give a damn. On Fox News this morning former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell ("Lone Survivor") had an excellent idea: Give veterans an insurance card that lets them do to their local hospitals and doctors for unlimited treatment. That way, we could eliminate all the deadbeat civil servants in the VA, close numerous hospitals around the country, eliminate a cabinet position and GIVE VETS THE TREATMENT THEY HAVE EARNED AND DESERVE and no doubt save millions in the process!
I believe the VA hospitals were also meant to be backups for the military hospitals in the case of massive war casualties.
my wife has been a volunteer on a phone crisis line, for over 15 years. Two years ago the VA added a line to them. Every single person that takes calls says, “these people - male or female - are so much more intense, they often sound like they are about to explode.” That there is a need by the VA to send folks to a private crisis line - shows hwo much the vet has to unload in our time. Pray for them. My time was easy in 64- 68.
Amazing.
