The U.S. Supreme Court said on Monday it would weigh whether the federal government rightly fired a U.S. air marshal for disclosing sensitive information to the news media.
In 2003, MacLean told an MSNBC reporter that the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) had decided not to assign air marshals to certain long-distance flights, a decision he disagreed with. He said the decision was made soon after the agency told marshals of a potential plot to hijack U.S. airplanes.
The legal question is whether MacLean's actions are protected by the federal Whistleblower Protection Act. That law protects employees if a disclosure exposes unlawful conduct, gross mismanagement or threats to public safety.

Wow, sure raised the Holder hackles and Brennan bustle, eh? I mean, how did he expect the regime to generate a nice high profile false flag without a few long range hijackings enabling the regime’s friends at terror?
So when the Agency heard there would be an attack,
they REMOVED the Marshals.
How is this different from Boston, where the terrorists
were coddled as they beheaded between 3 and 9 people
from Massachsetts, AND THEN let back in without a passport
despite multiple warning of what was coming?
Un -*(&)(^&*&^)^&)(&)( - believable.
I’m going to go out on limb and posit that the “just us” department offered the same response to this whistle blower as they gave to all of the others...a paramilitary style raid on his home at 4:00am.
Guy..read the story...the air marshal told the msnbc reporter in 2003..thats in Bush’s first term..
OMG I’m so sorry I impugned the current criminal regime! ... I meant to aim at the current false flag operation regime and ignore Bush’s. I’ve had posting privileges revoked for referring to a possible exploitation of terrorist acts during the Bush regime.
Hmmmmm - is there anyone who doesn't know that military bases are almost gun-free zones? How about schools/colleges, etc.? How does an effort to get them to do the right thing and put protection on planes add up to a "threat to public safety"? It would seem that leaving the public defenseless is a greater threat to public safety.
“disclosing sensitive information to the news media... In 2003, MacLean told an MSNBC reporter...”
Not the same thing.
My nephew was in one of the first classes of air marshals after 911 when he left a few years later.
He said the organization was one of most screwed up he seen.
Flights were assigned more to protect Washington and Washington elect then the general flying public.
Probably because scheduled long haul would cost them overtime.
I think the whistleblower law protects you if you disclose information to the legislative branch, not the media.
My contention is that MSNBC isn’t “news” media. It’s a branch of the DNC.
I'm convinced that guillotines from orbit is the only way to cure the infestation ...
Obviously — don't you know that they're more important than us and our families!
It's also why the punishments for lawbreaking doesn't apply to them, they're simply too important to be bothered by the inconvenience of punishment.
Sorry that was not directed at you..I dropped the s on “guys” ..it was just general comment for the thread
