“Nice list. I am sorry to see Savage at number 5. He is a blowhard, always talking about how great he is. “
Exactly...I have almost quit listening to him. He is obsessed with PERCEIVED greatness and popularity. He can not stop talking about how he beats Hannity in New York. So what? big deal. I would not even know that Hannity has a talk show.
Rush is my primary talker, and automatically recorded for me on my DAR.fm service, as I am asleep when he is on live.
Hannity had some kind of blow-up with his carrier in New York, didn’t he? I imagine when that all shakes out that Savage will be back in his own weird little niche.
Savage might want to look over his shoulder..the latest round of people meter ratings show WOR is now beating WABC on Long Island, the New Jersey suburbs and Westchester County, though WABC still leads in the city. Probably the first time in 20 years WOR has beaten WABC in all three suburban markets, which in many respects, are more desirable demographically than the city.
The PPMs were taken over the last month and they are considered very accurate...what is unclear is whether the audience figures for all the hosts were tallied after 1 January, when Savage moved to the afternoon. With Sean moving to some weaker affiliates in places like Chicago, he has definitely lost some listeners. But the ratings explosion of Michael Savage has not materialized
