Having had a family member in a similar condition I’d like to know why his wife is in a home 1500 miles away from Cochran’s primary residence. Did the other woman want her ‘out of sight out of mind’? We kept that family member close, as in 2 blocks away, so we could visit and check on them. If we could have afforded to keep her at home we would have.
So much for ‘For better or worse’. Hope the other chick pays attention to that. If they’ll do it with you they’ll do it to you...
Yea I had my wife to take care of for a long while before cancer got her. The last thing on my mind was shipping her off to a nursing home while I screwed around on her.
The sheer contempt I have for guys like him is impressive.
Thad Cochran is 76 years old. He has two grown children and, I would presume, grandchildren. Did you consider that they probably live in Mississippi and perhaps want their mother/grandmother close to them (not to mention Mrs. Cochran's sisters, brothers, S-i-Ls, B-i-Ls, and other relatives)?
Cochran maintains a home in Jackson, Mississippi and--as a U. S. Senator--will make frequent trips to his home state while his family would have little reason to travel to D.C.
Oh, and BTW, the driving distance from Jackson, MS to Washington, D.C. is 981 miles, not 1500.
P.S. - My condolences on having a relative with dementia. I've been there, too.
