Yeah, we’ve been having an unseasonable amount of white global warming land on my neck ‘o Colorado this spring. In fact, we now have another casualty of Global Warming here in Colorado: we’ve had to say goodbye to the Front Range rule of thumb that it’s safe to plant your tomatoes after Mother’s Day.

Since Global Warming has been making everything so unseasonably cold, I’m kind of hoping for some Global Cooling to warm things up a bit.

This year is acting the same as last year.

A period of irregular seasonal cooling. I’m okay with it. Never really had much frost to chill out the crops in my area.

Moderate temperate climate.

I lost my tomatoes and two flowers last weekend. And maybe a couple of peppers, I haven’t went back to look at them.

It was a total of 8 plants, maybe. Wasn’t worth the effort to cover them, just start over.

But, that was the latest “hard” freeze in the 12 years we have been here. It snowed quite late into May last year, with more “snow” accumulation, but it didn’t have the overnight freeze this past storm had.
