Former Trenton Mayor Tony Mack was sentenced to four years and 10 months in prison on his six counts of corruption Thursday by Judge Michael Shipp in federal court.
Mack also got a $3,000 fine, $500 for each count of corruption.
Before the sentence was handed down, Judge Shipp denied a motion that had been filed by the Macks to throw out the original trial.
Stay with The Trentonian today for more details on this story.
There was a movie back in the 70’s called “The Mack”, about a pimp. It seems appropriate.
And what political party did he belong to???
“The world makes, Trenton takes.”

"The world refuses, Trenton uses!"*
*Actual Trenton slogan (origin of countless jokes since 1935):
The world excretes, Trenton eats.
Trenton used to have a fair amount of manufacturing industry. The only thing Trenton makes now is oppressive laws.
If you needed anything at all done in New Jersey, one went to Chick and Nello's Homestead in the evening. It's where the legislature, judges, and lobbyists and their girlfriends (as opposed to wives) used to meet.
No menu. They serve you. No check, just pay what they ask. In cash. 20% tip+. Christie-sized portions. Most excellent!
And the winner of the award for “Best Idi Amin Impression” .......is Teddy Mack!
“Oh, the shark, babe, has such teeth, dear...”
