As far as I'm concerned, that's what the tea Party is: a permanent Operation American Spring. But we need to do more than just try to elect "good" politicians (some would say that is an oxymoron).
We need to do as Milton Friedman suggested:
Do what you can to elect the right people, but focus the major attention to make it politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing.
You do that by cutting government until it's back to 3-5% of our GDP, KEEPING it small, and throwing the bums out who don't keep it small.
