COMPLETE TITLE: Trey Gowdy Takes Democrats Apart Over Fundraising Duplicity, Hypocrisy, Selective Amnesia
Rep. Trey Gowdy appeared on Fox News Sunday this week and handed Democrats a solid thumping on their newfound piety over fundraising subject matter. Host Chris Wallace asks Congressman Gowdy how the Select Committee can be seen as fact-finding and not political when the NRCC sent out a fundraising email citing the committee and Benghazi. Gowdy had the perfect answer.

The Democrats are discovering that they are not dealing with a RINO here. There is a sense of panic in the air.

BOOYAH!
Well said.
Trey Gowdy not only has a brilliant mind, he’s a man of integrity and Dems can’t handle that combination.
Man! I hope this guy gets some traction. Straight talker, experienced, concise and to the point.
This is and has always been the problem with endless house/senate hearings on this or any other topic. Maxine Waters thinks she can acquire the insight of 30-year banking or oil industry execs in a 5-minute-limited question session when she has a sub-90 IQ. Or she thinks she can grok the workings of the Federal Reserve when she’s only interested in pandering to her constituents by clamoring for a minimum-wage hike. Furthermore, and the IRS scandal is a recent and perfect example; even when there is blatant, egregious wrongdoing, the GOP questioners do not coordinate their questioning(s). They should be getting their question lists from a Trey Gowdy, a skilled and professional prosecutor. That way, the lines of questioning would be pushed in a linear fashion. Instead, each rep, in an ego-driven episode, asks their own questions because they think they are clever. They are not more clever than the Dem spinmeisters! Most amateur questions lead only to other questions, and that only serves to wiggle-waggle the focus of the hearing this way and that. This only serves to diffuse the outcome and conclusions. Lawyers are trained not to ask questions they do not already know the answers to, amateurs blow this.
Until the GOP learns that these issues have to be reduced to bumper-sticker levels of thought transmission, their efforts will go nowhere.
Points need to be kept SHORT and SWEET--or TART--whatever the situation demands!
I wanted Jim Jordan on this committee. He is a relentless questioner. Check this out. He asks questions real fast which messes with their minds

I’ve thought from 2008 on that “bumper-stickerism” has really been the crux of GOP electability issues, a corollary to the “low-info voter”. And the rise in attack and smear ads (not that there’s anything new about them) is further illustration.
Republicans have been caught in this dilemma for a long time. Dems say “raise minimum wage”, the LI voter eat it up “yaaaaaaay!!” and Reps point out the secondary and tertiary effects....none of which fits on a bumper sticker. Dems are “for the little guy” and the LI voter eats this crap up, meanwhile they vote for the multi-millionaire Pelosis of the world and 0bama and Holder who wouldn’t be caught dead visiting a construction site or a coal mine UNLESS they were pimping for some kind of ephemeral “green” initiative. “Healthcare for everyone!” is so magnificently utopian, but the further thinking of the conservatives and republicans who have opposed this from the beginning while EVERY ONE of the negatives they pointed out has come true...can’t be summarized inside the 11 second attention span.
It’s a huge challenge to get LI voters to connect their neurons into thinking about anything but the first thing that pops into their little heads.
“I wanted Jim Jordan on this committee.”
I think Jordan was one of the seven Boehner named. And you’re right, he’ll do a good job.
Thanks....I must have misread the list. This is phenomenal. Jim Jordan will have everyone talking and amazed. Trey will have to stay above the fray (somewhat). He is the committee head. Keep your eyes on JJ,!!! He's the man!!!
John Boenher finally threw us some red meat and I'm chewing on it!!!
I could watch videos of Gowdy going off on librats all day long.
BTTT
Excellent points and thoughts!
Finally somebody out front for the ‘pubs with some guts and smarts - this’ll be fun....
That definietly left a mark. OUCH!
