They tried this in Germany a while back...trying to tax freight haulers transiting Germany...spent multimillion's of Euros on software and satellite hardware for tracking....all wasted.

I’ve heard this proposal floated before...what they actually want is to put a GPS unit in your vehicle. Then THEY compute how many miles you’ve driven. You can’t dispute their calculations either.
