Sarah Palin to Establishment Republicans: Knock off the gloating!
The Right Scoop ^ | May 7 2014 | The Right Scoop

Posted on 05/07/2014 2:01:53 PM PDT by PoloSec

C’mon now, guys. This gloating among establishment Republicans calls for the same reprimand we parents offer 12-year-olds who scuffle on the playground. I often remind my young daughter, especially, after her ball games, of the importance of being considerate and gracious in both victory and defeat.

Congratulations to candidates in yesterday’s small pool of state primary elections who will now move on to their respective general elections. Now, knock off the gloating. The GOP establishment must ratchet any kind of arrogance way down and get in touch with independent, constitutional conservatives who build the base of the party. They do the thankless work to put boots on the ground for your campaigns, and they show up to vote if you give us good reason to vote. Anything less and we will not secure victory for America this fall.

Surely, politicians and high paid D.C. consultants, you realize we all need to work together after these valuable competitive primaries that offer good debate and clear awareness of candidates’ positions, right? It’s extremely off-putting to witness post-primary smugness. Well-funded campaigns that rub a victory in the face of primary challengers’ supporters sure don’t endear the winning campaign to voters who are beyond tired of the selfish political games that have gotten the country into the mess we’re in. Your gloating causes apathy, if not downright disgust, among concerned citizens who want to remind you: “It’s not about you.”

You’re perpetuating an “us versus them” mentality with this gloating. That does our cause of defending our republic and all our freedoms and opportunities no good. Are we not on the same side, standing firm on all platform planks that empower the people instead of growing government? The people you’re mocking comprise the base of your own party, remember? To paraphrase the great Ronald Reagan: Rein it in and humbly learn how much we can accomplish together for America when we don’t care who gets the credit.

Bottom line: Politicos, more friends are needed leading up to the general election. Poking potential friends in the eye doesn’t earn the allies needed to win.

Piper and her schoolgirl friends would tell you as much.

But they won’t. We are at a crossroads here.

The GOP can go screw themselves as far as I care. Why vote when your choice is either the left wing or the moderate wing of the DNC.

Sarah’s right, GOPe. Get it together before you cost us the majority. Those annoying little conservatives can make or break you and you’d better get that message sooner rather than later, or rather too late.

Sarah is tough as always.

The GOPe has no right to gloat and should not when they win a primary.

It is just classless.

If these dummies don’t want our votes we can go elsewhere. Its what happened to Romney.

Given that choice, there’s still plenty of reason to vote.

This is the only time I will use a Nancy Pelosi quote in a positive way; DON’T GLOAT! I’m conflicted in terms of Mitch McConnell. I don’t want Abortion Barbie to win, because of the causes that her victory will strenghten, but Mitch has been such an idiot this past year, saying he’s going to kick the Tea Party’s ass, he doesnt deserve any victory parade either.

As I mentioned on another thread, on Glenn Beck’s radio show today (Wednesday), Glenn mentioned that the TEA party did quite well at the STATE level in North Carolina and Ohio, as well as at the state level in the recent Texas primary.

Glenn speculated that the GOPe spent all of their money on the federal offices in these states and ignored the state offices. Whether this is true, Glenn didn’t know.

They don’t want your votes. Thats why they are pushing Amnesty. They want you out of their hair.

Sarah needs to have a come to Jesus meeting about this ASAP. She has tried working within the system despite what the system did and does to her.

Sarah, I know your people, if not you personally read these threads. It is time to accept reality here and either lead or support opposition to the people treating us like rented mules.

We need to stop congratulating people that use these tactics to win and hold power and oppose them.

Flame suit set to DGAF

I`m either sitting this election out OR voting straight 3rd party. They can gloat all they want, it`s not going to be over my Ohio vote.

IIRC, there once was a Hollywood actor that did just that ... and won on the 3rd try ...

{...ducking...}

With that said ... PALIN/CRUZ 2016!!!

Correct, Sarah is correct. The GOPe wants me to have, in the upcoming election a chance to vote for one or two.
1. A democrat who will forecfully LIE to everyone within hearing, including those who support him/her, and then vote the left wing line.
2. A GOP(e) candidate who will spout some of what he thinks I want to hear and, if elected, will vote against most everything I believe in, but will smile while doing it.
Sadly, I can rely more on the lying Democrat to be consistent than I can trust the “Republican”.
What is my choice on election day? I truly don’t know yet.

Your choice is as it has always been. Vote your beliefs or don’t. We never win when we support with our vote what we oppose with our principles.

Seems as if conservatives are always at a crossroads with the GOPe—but they never cross the road.

Because most ‘conservatives aren’t really that conservative. They may be on the conservative side of the GOP scale but that is a different thing from being a conservative.

It’s really not that complicated as people make it. We compromise our beliefs or they do. One group is OK with the situational ethics of ‘moderation’, one is not. People make it complicated when they want to have their cake and eat it too.

But they won’t. We are at a crossroads here.

Of course they wont stop gloating. Rove and the rest of the evil GOPe hate Conservatives. To Boehner, McConnell and Rove the Tea Party is a greater than the RATS in their eyes.

Sarah is being diplomatic with these evil cretins.

She is leaving a paper trail of logical demands to the Statist GOPe. That way when she makes a move to put the hammer down on these fools she can say, I repeatedly tried to warn them.
