(Reuters) - Former National Security Agency contractor Edward Snowden, who revealed the U.S. government's data collection programs, is now likely under the control of Russian intelligence agencies, according to former NSA Director, General Keith Alexander.
Alexander, who retired on March 31, made the comments in an interview with The Australian Financial Review newspaper to be published on Thursday, a transcript of which was made available to Reuters ahead of publication.

Maybe we should invite him back with full immunity!
I agree with NSA on this one. Russian intelligence agencies will not pass up an opportunity like this. It is a godsend for them.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! The clown shoes clash with the Agent Smith costume.
Well, I wouldn’t trust Obama’s NSA exactly, but when a man flees to Russia with US secrets wouldn’t it make sense that Russian intelligence is all over him?
Jack Bauer should interrogate him.
Perhaps, it is also a god send to anyone interested in what his government is doing to his liberties.
personally I prefer Putin over Obama at this point.
I would never have thought it would come to this

Boy, now there's a lot of credibility right there.
“Well, I wouldnt trust Obamas NSA exactly, but when a man flees to Russia with US secrets wouldnt it make sense that Russian intelligence is all over him?”
What this shows is “admissible guilt” by retaliation using an “ex employee” as a company stooge.
The NSA should keep its mouth shut and let other non-military agencies like the CIA comment on what the Russian intelligence community is doing with Snowden.
Manipulated? Or willingly cooperating with? My money’s on the latter.
Uh huh. And the entire US intelligence apparatus isn’t?
Why?
Because James Clapper said we should!
Didn't the NSA spy heavily on her?
Hmmm...
Perhaps the NSA bore fruit: Obama now seems to have a second shadow.
Snowden was naive. He thought he could expose the NSA domestic spying program without any personal consequence to himself. When the regime declared him an Enemy of the State, he became what they made him.
Yeah, really. Should we just assume this NSA guy doesn’t have any ulterior motive for badmouthing Snowden?
At least you still have a choice of which communist you prefer....
The last time I looked, flights to Moscow were quite reasonably priced.
Manipulated? So what? Does Snowden still work for the NSA?
