The local Bishop complained about the Obama invite and the arrogant priest who was (and I imagine still is) president of Notre Dame ignored his local bishop.

I felt that then that priest was in serious violation of Canon Law.

Of course, there were about 100 bishops/cardinals/archbishops that protested the Obama award at Notre Dame because of his ardent support of abortion...
