Shouldn't we be the ones who are furious because they voted for the bill without reading it?
The US Senate is worse than useless. We'c be better off if it could be abolished.

Republican legislators lying about SAFE Act funding in state budget
ALBANY, NY (05/06/2014)(readMedia)— The New York State Rifle & Pistol Association would like to address statements made in a May 6 New York Post article which claimed some Republican lawmakers did not know they voted to spend millions of dollars to fund the so-called SAFE Act in the state budget.
“The Assembly openly debated SAFE Act funding on the chamber floor in public session, “ said NYSRPA President Tom King. “Everybody knew the money was there.”
Proof of this can be found in the April 11 edition of the Adirondack Daily Enterprise:

Gee, maybe they should have read it.

Jackass politicians, you are being paid to read the bills before voting on them. Do your jobs!

Read it? If these politicians had done that, it would have cut into their boozing it up and whoring around time at the taxpayers expense, don’t you know?
To: KeyLargo
He said he wouldve voted against it if he knew about the SAFE Act fundingTotal BS. Anyone who actually believes this crap deserves to live out their life in the police state of NY.

What a bunch of lying feces piles.

Doesn’t anyone on the Hill EVER read what’s in the bills they’re voting on?

They knew but pretended not to.
That way they could pass it and then claim ignorance.
If ignorance of the law is no excuse for regular folks,
then ignorance of the law you're about to legislate is a serious offense.

First of all didn't any of these lazy bums, or their staff members, read the damn bill before they voted on it?
Also, it seems to me that the Founders recommended short legislative bills, in part to avoid dishonest abuse such as this.
