No, but you have to admit the coppers haven’t made much of an effort to keep this guy in jail.

What kinda bond will they let him out on this time? $500.00??

Remember, it’s not the cops that KEEP the guy in jail - it’s the courts! But actually they are pretty tough here. I happen to know the sheriff, he’s a great person - he got a bad rap on this, but you notice the guy has been arrested at least twice since he pulled this.

Laws in FL are alternately tougher and weirder because of the population we have. We have a republican legislature but a lot of ethnic towns (latino) and a lot of poverty stricken folks, some homeless and disabled. Recently many folks have lost their houses - I had three friends foreclosed on since Obama became president, and I never had that happen to anyone I knew before. So it is not too hard to “squat”, believe it or not, but I’ve known people to practically have the key thrown away for very small things. And bails can be very high.

That is one reason the laws seem schizo here - witness the Zimmerman debacle - the laws and police are conservative - see how the prejudice was for a person protecting himself in an area frequented by thugs - but how fast the minorities were able to come in and set up a huge messy circus using the press and corrupt politicians.

The answer to this thing is at a legislative level.
