White House: No one can stop our War on Energy
Human Events ^ | May 6, 2014 | John Hayward

There’s one thing Barack Obama told the truth about in his 2008 run, one thing he’s never really wavered from: he’s going to smash the power industry and drive up our energy costs. In a time of falling poll numbers and swirling scandals, with his party facing a grim midterm election, he’s decided to be pugnacious about it, sending forth his minions to brag that no one can stop his War on Energy, and signaling that Democrat support for his efforts is mandatory.

Republicans have branded the president’s climate plan as a “war on coal” and have sponsored legislation to roll back planned Environmental Protection Agency greenhouse gas standards they argue will harm the nation’s economy.

“They’ll find various ways, particularly in the House, to try to stop us from using the authority we have under the Clean Air Act. All I would say is that those have zero percent chance of working. We’re committed to moving forward with those rules,” Podesta said.

To support this effort and frighten Americans into accepting the new levels of poverty ordained by their rulers, the Administrations’ witch doctors are back to blaming the weather on global warming, shaking their medicine sticks and warning that the Angry Sky Gods will strike us down with tornadoes and hurricanes if we don’t pay tribute to their bureaucratic clergy:

This “war on energy” seems to be a war on Benghazi coverage.

Focus on Benghazi.

Unfortunately for Bam, this is one topic on which even the low-infos ain’t buying it.

I suspect unless his successor is someone at least as radical as he is, the country will be doing a 180 in January, 2017.

Trying to stir up the base. They have nothing else to run on. Think about it. They are facing a tidal wave of dissent over their monumental failures in every venue. The facts are killing them.

Which base? Because when people have to spend all their money on overpriced fuel and overpriced power bills this summer, there is gonna be so much discontent. I know it is really bad when I see food stamp recipients adding up grocery costs as they go through the store.

Actually, this makes a golden opportunity for the next Republican president.

Because of Barry’s imperiousness, and Harry Reid’s willingness to violate the rules of the senate, if there is a strong Republican senator to replace McConnell, one who will have the intestinal fortitude to give the Democrats a dose of their own medicine in the senate, instead of meekly extending their bitten hand in friendship, again, the return of an energy economy could be a huge economic boon to the country.

“But we want to block energy development!”, will whine the Democrat senators. “Tough”, replies the strong senator. “Harry Reid forfeited your right to be obstinate, so America can now recover much of its economy, and you don’t get squat!”

This could result in a return to prosperity to the US, especially when accompanied by things like returning taken federal lands to the states (Democrat senators: whiiiinnne!), and officially abrogating signed but never ratified treaties that take away from America and give nothing.

Then, the Republican congress must seriously consider anti-oligopoly laws against corrupt organizations like the media and multinational corporations.

If the big business GOP-e are gone, it’s going to be payback time.

The key to winning this “climate change” argument is to highlight the extreme sacrifices people are going to have to make to fight it. Whenever some commie politician talks about GW ask him loudly and often to SPECIFY WHAT THEY PROPOSE TO DO TO STOP IT.

Interesting story in WSJ today how we are shipping our “dirty” high sulfur Indiana/Illinois thermal coal to Germany (who is using it like crazy) and the price is cheaper (including shipping) than Euro domestically mined coal.
