What a lot of people don’t know about “the rich” is that the higher you climb, the harder it is to stay there. I learned that selling commercial real estate in the ‘78-81 timeframe. The number of people filing bankruptcy, businesses failing, etc. Is amazing.

People that get a union job or manufacturing or cubical farm job in a large company usually see it as “set for life”. And for the most part it has been true. You don’t get rich, but you have a home, a car, some vacation, health benefits, etc. But when you decide to start your own business (and this is most of the upper class or rich) you are flying without a chute, and very high. Yesterday’s crazy popular restaurant is todays failed business. And the owner’s mansion is up for sale.

i.e. Most of the “rich” are only there temporarily.

I think that seeing a family practice physician for all your health care needs is outdated. The field of medicine is so complex, beyond the usual physical exam and minor illnesses, specialty care is where most of the complex problems get referred to. I knew a family practice physician who stated that 95% of the patients he sees daily do not really need health care. The other 3 % need his care, the other 2% gets referred to specialty. NPs and PAs can do a lot, with minimal supervision by an attending family practice physician. It is already occurring now. I see a PA for my health care ( minor ) needs, and the PA knows when I need to see a specialist. I actually prefer a PA, because they are more willing to refer me to specialty care, as they know their limits. The real problem will be if specialist physicians move to the concierge route,or that a specialty shortage occurs due to Obamacare, that would be catastrophic.

this medical inequality was never mentioned by the Obama administration or the Democrats who voted for it.They have created their own version of “class warfare” over healthcare. Once again the people who Obama claims to be looking out for are getting the shaft.

Actually, "this medical inequality" preceded Obama and Obamacare; physicians have been moving in this direction for many years.
