But Putin's aim has never been Russian control only of Crimea; he has always wanted all of Ukraine, because he fears nothing more than a successful, democratic, modern neighbor that undermines by example the authority of his own "managed democracy." So now we have reached the tragedy's fourth act, in which Russia attempts to grab eastern Ukraine, and the West responds.

I just have trouble buying anything that’s so one sided. It’s a call for more globalism. More big money to change hands at US tax payer expense. No evidence to support claims. How do we know that uprising in Eastern Ukraine and Odessa are not led by Ukrainian Russians?

“It’s a call for more globalism.”

The circumstances make it irrelevant whether or not the EU (European Union) and its Globalist and NWO (New World Order) exist or not. In either case Putin and Russia are able to extort concessions by playing the separate European states against each other when bargaining for the Russian energy supplies. This is why President Reagan recommended against the Europeans becoming dependent up Russian oil and natural gas supplies. If anything, the EU as it is presently constituted to favor the NWO are helping Russia to pursue its goal of bringing all of Europe under Russian economic if not political domination over a period of many years.

The establishment of a European energy union has the potential of helping or hurting the European nations, depending on who can control the energy union. Without the energy union, Russian captures of individual European nations can undermine the energy security of the other European nations. So, the cooperative control of European energy supplies is necessary to escape Russian energy hegemony regardless of which political structure is used to accomplish the task.

“No evidence to support claims. How do we know that uprising in Eastern Ukraine and Odessa are not led by Ukrainian Russians?”

That statement is so very contrary to the truth, it makes your comment virtually indistinguishable from the comments coming from the bloggers writing false propaganda paid for by the Russian Government. The evidence of the Russian government organizing and exercising command and control of the militant separatist operations in the Ukraine are overwhelming. This forum has provided links to dozens of such sources. The sources range from the SBU security services of the Ukrainian Government to individual people posting videos on the Internet. The Ukrainian Government, U.S. Government, and other governments have intercepted the voice communications of the Russian military and political commanders leading the operations. The Ukrainian government has captured Russians with Russian passports engaged in the subversion, sabotage, and insurrection. VICE News reporter Simon Ostrovsky did a video interview with a Russian Cossack soldier, and he was then taken hostage, beaten, threatened with murder, and harshly interrogated for having made that impermissible video of the Russian soldier. There can be no doubt that Russia is in command and control of the separatist offensive in the Ukraine, just as they were in the Crimea.
