The Rasmussen Reports national survey, released on April 18, also shows that trust in federal authorities is plunging fast. More than two thirds of voters, for example, said they view the federal government as a special interest group primarily concerned with protecting its own interests. Only 17 percent did not. Majorities of Republicans, Democrats, and independents all agreed.
Meanwhile, less than one in five Americans surveyed trusts the Washington-based political and bureaucratic classes to do the right thing most of the time — down from 24 percent less than a year ago. On the other hand, 80 percent disagree, and 36 percent of voters surveyed say the federal government rarely or never does the right thing.

I’m surprised anyone under the age of 25 these days would have even the first clue as to what Liberty is.
This is NOT the country or government envisioned by the Founding Fathers. Of course, freedom and not freebies was their primary goal for America. IMHO, America’s number one problem is that there are too many non-Americans living here who are feeding at the government trough.
When the BLM has a SWAT team and attack dogs to “round up cattle”, you know your government has become too big and oppressive.
If anything, they really only know that they have lost some of the liberties they had a few years ago.

An excellent opportunity exists on Nov 4, 2014 to take major steps to fix these problems. Will the American people take the challenge? I sure hope so. Time is short.
I don't say the non-Americans should be here, I'm just saying that we have 95 million Americans receiving some kind of government benefit. If the number of illegals is twelve, fifteen, or even as high as the twenty million sometimes claimed, you still have to change the fact that an overwhelming majority of the looters are people who grew up in the "Land of the Free."

Leviathan trickles into everything and everyday life. I was in line at Home Depot yesterday and the guy manning the solar electricity booth asked if I wanted solar panels on my roof. I said “Hell No” — you can only sell these things because of massive federal taxes and subsidies and I didn’t want to suck of the government tit. He said “you might as well get yours while the getting is good.” Then I really lit into him about how that attitude was destroying liberty and the nation is sunk if we are all about getting what we can from Uncle Sugar. He responded how evil fossil fuels are and then I really exploded.

I'm afraid that for many, liberty is "Free Stuff".
The Republicans keep nominating politicians John McCain and Mitt Romney. I hope the GOP will nominate a Pro-Liberty candidate in 2016.

Tell the SOB that those evil fossil fuels are acquired by private enterprise not some fly by night outfit such as his that springs up after government incentives and mandates to suck at the taxpayer trough.

Let me guess where you are NOT located. This guy would have not made it out of the parking lot in many areas.
That this poll would return any less than 80% is a testament to the brainwashing ability of our government indoctrination centers.
