IMO Obama is not ridiculing Boehner, but rather, defending him. He compares Boener to himself and the racist attacks made by the Tea Party Reps. Obama needs his buddy Boehner to bail him out on immigration reform and other issues. Boehner is the good guy and the bad guys are the Rep conservatives.

Now we live in a social media world, we know it, it’s coming (and The Wise I, though an excellent political writer, is also beyond great on social media) and the sad story of our very nice Ambassador to Libya not only dying, but dying with such indignity....man this is key to making this thing rock.

The Democrats, man they managed to get Foley kicked out of there for sending and of-age teen a sexy letter but the Repubs don’t know how to use the angle that will conquer the attention?
This just shows, if this rumor is true, that the Republicans knew it and didn’t use the , sad to use term, “talking point” to drive home how heinous this all was.
Of course the more intelligent of us know that it is just as sad that three other wonderful men and I hear two of them disobeyed orders in order to rescue...died as well.

Part of this saga is directly related to your comment. Monday morning quarterbacking is easy. The question becomes exactly how did anyone know at the time how long this situation would continue? It could have gone on for days. The response should have been ordered whether they were on time or not. The truth is they did not want to have to admit that Al Qaeda was not on the run but active.
I have to be honest and say I am not 100% sure but have heard it often enough. Also - I think if it weren't, the left and the media (redundant, I know), would be pointing to this accusation as proof that the right is off its rockers, similar to the charges of racism attributed to the Tea Party, to de-legitimize the efforts.

Agree also and often wonder that because of the lurid details, the Pubbies just don't have the backbone or stomache to communicate this part of the event.
The Union should have been one of 13 sovereign states, without giving so much power to the behemoth the federal government has no become.
In reality, though, much of what it HAS become is plainly unconstitutional, yet the highest court in the land will not declare it that, as they are as political as the other two branches, and in the long their highest calling is their own existence, rather than that document I took an oath to.

Sure the talk show thread drops around this time. So does the audience actually watching the Sunday talk shows. It will probably drop more all the way through till the fall.
So I can’t buy that the falling of comments on this thread mean much of anything.

You could say exactly the same thing in 1972 about the Committee to Reelect the President and the little incident at the Watergate Apartments and Offices.

I watched the news unfold during Benghazi and I kept thinking reinforcements were going to show up. Not only did we not show up but our leadership failed to respond in any way. To add insult to injury, the video was invented to deflect criticisms.

It boils my blood to know that if the Republicans would do things like this, not just for the Sunday shows but all kinds of venues, they’d be in MUCH better shape politically.
So for me it comes down to why?

You misread my intent on posing the question. I am not after "news" from ABC, NBC, CBS or CNN. I am simply interested in how they are covering a story that, to we Freepers, is very near if not at the top of our list of "must cover" stories. Will they or won't they is the question. And the corollary is will they attempt to minimize the political damage of the story on Obama and Hillary?
Up until the last few days the issue of coverage was clear: they are not going to cover it. So it is of interest, at least to me, as to how they will respond to the release of the Rhodes Memo.
Between the RATagandists and the worthless cowardly RINOs (boner) the Republicans are blocked out. Also don't forget the RATagandists are able to edit censor every word of those shows, they are not live.
If the TEApublicans were to wrest control from the GOPe things would likely be different, but only if they were dedicated to using different tactics and vehicles to disseminate the truth and the conservative agenda.
