And you know, on the short term, it has worked. Technically, the Current Occupant no longer has to “win” anything, his job is essentially done. Now all that remains is protecting the “legacy”, and he has a loyal corps (or “corpse”) of media and university professors to work on that over the coming decades, even after he is long gone.
