I suspect Israel is afraid that cutting off aid will destabilize the Pali territories, destroy the current uneasy already equilibrium, and cause more problems than it will cure. Israel must have its good reasons for opposing what Rand Paul has proposed, or it wouldn’t be against it. Israel knows better than anyone in that area of the world what is a good idea, what is a bad idea, and why. They aren’t going to go against something that would help Israel, and for some reason they don’t think this move by Rand Paul would help.
I wouldn’t trust Rand Paul on anything Israel anyhow. The acorn doesn’t fall far from the tree. Rand Paul is trying too hard to show he isn’t the anti-semite his dad Ron Paul is. Trying way too hard, on Israel and defense matters in general. Wouldn’t trust him in either area any further than I could throw him.
I suspect all the middle men between the money and the receiver of the aid don’t want their share removed
Paul said his bill, which he introduced before the Senate on Thursday, would make aid to the Palestinian authority contingent on it recognizing Israel and cut off aid if it does not.
So now Rand Paul is tougher on jihadists than Israel's own lobbyists? I'm tired of caring more about Israel's survival than they seem to care about it themselves.
