The only reason Harvey Milk became an icon is because he was shot and killed.
I’m sorry and mournful that his life was taken. But he accomplished nothing noteworthy in his life. He was the first openly homosexual elected official in San Francisco, and perhaps the nation. Does all of this really rate being honored so much?
