Cummings tries to DECEIVE regarding military response to Benghazi attack, Issa and Chaffetz respond

Cummings is a despicable human being.

In Retired Air Force Brigadier General Robert Lovell’s prepared testimony at the hearing today, he said this:

There are accounts of time, space and capability discussions of the question, could we have gotten there in time to make a difference. Well, the discussion is not in the “could or could not” in relation to time, space and capability — the point is we should have tried. As another saying goes: “Always move to the sound of the guns.”

He’s simply saying that the discussion should never be can or can’t we make a difference when our people are in harm’s way, but that you just go anyway, you run to the sounds of the guns. You just do it. If you can’t make a difference, at least you tried and you have no regrets.

But we know in this case they could have made a huge difference and likely saved two lives.

So Cummings quotes the above from the General and suggests that the General is saying the US didn’t try to help the people in Benghazi. He then goes through a series of points made in prior testimony and asks if the General disagrees with any of it:

1. Chairman McKeon found that our military, including General Ham, General Dempsey and others, authorized two Marine F.A.S.T platoons in Rota, Spain to prepare to deploy.

at least you tried and you have no regrets.

Or you blame it on YouTube and go to bed.

What difference does it make? They have no regrets either way.

Probably the first time I would agree with someone from the Air Force, but my question to the General would be: "Why did you not go anyway?" Initiative is action in lieu of orders. He should have launched and said "Damn the torpedoes."

He would have entered a sovereign country’s borders without authorization. That would have been the end of his career and perhaps thrown to the International Criminal Court for prosecution.

Not in the defense of sovereign US territory (embassy). Spectre has lots of standoff also:

I hadn't heard that the Marine's fast reaction team was required by the State Department to change into civilian clothes before going into Tripoli that night.

This administration makes me sick.

Notice no unit was ordered into the fight in Benghazi. It was all about securing personnel in Tripoli, like Benghazi never existed.

Issa had better push for impeachment, this was accessory to murder by Clinton, Obama, and anyone else in the chain that did not speak up.

No one knew how long the battle would last when it started. The only way you can say that you "could not have gotten there in time" is by Monday morning quarterbacking.

He would have entered a sovereign country’s borders without authorization. That would have been the end of his career and perhaps thrown to the International Criminal Court for prosecution.

However he could have gotten to within 200, 12 or 3 miles depending on which definition of international waters is being used. That would put you 20 minutes away or less at the point the President would have to make a decision.

Truth is whatever Elijah says it is. Just ask him, he’ll tell you. A criminal mind has no consort with truth. It is anathema to the con-game vermin like Cummings play. He is a prime democrat don’tchaknow.

The thirty plus people holding out in Benghazi (not at the embassy compound, at the annex under assault) were of no consequence to the regime here in DC because they were problematic of telling what they knew of why the ambassador was in Benghazi to start with. The regime fabricated the notion of a video causing the scene, it has been proven to be a gross lie, yet the feckless Congress goes on with sham hearings as if they do not know the truth, which allows scum like Cummings to play his part in the great lies. he is so beloved of democrips.

Truth is whatever Elijah says it is. Just ask him, he’ll tell you. A criminal mind has no consort with truth.

That is precisely why every convict in prison claims they are "innocent".

Elijah, Carney, Obama and Clinton are just unconvicted criminals.

Tripoli rescue team told to stand down.

Hicks: Special Forces ‘Furious’ Upon Being Told to Stand Down video at link

"According to Benghazi whistleblower Gregory Hicks, the deputy chief of mission in Libya, special forces were “furious” when they were told to stand down during the Benghazi attack. “I will quote Lieutenant Colonel Gibson,” Hicks told the House Oversight Committee in hearings today, “He said, ‘This is the first time in my career that a diplomat has more balls than somebody in the military.’”"

This might be considered a stand down too.

Whistle-blower: Botched talking points hurt FBI probe of Benghazi attack

"Another whistle-blower questioned Wednesday why more military assets were not deployed sooner during the Benghazi terror attack. Mark Thompson, a former Marine and official with the State Department's Counterterrorism Bureau, said he was rebuffed by the White House when he asked for a specialized team -- known as a FEST team -- to be deployed. This is a unit made of special operations personnel, diplomatic security, intelligence and other officers."

Here is a video of Rep. Chaffetz saying that Gen. Ham, commander of AFRICOM at that time, told him that assets were near enough to help and ready to go.

AFRICOM leader General Carter Ham was never given the order to secure the consulate in Benghazi. Youtube 1:43

Adm. James Lyons (Ret.) on Growing Benghazi Scandal

ADMIRAL LYONS: …All those comforting words that “We don’t want to put our forces at risk.” We had people at risk—they were crying for help! In a situation, you go with the resources you have available—and, in this particular case, we did have that 130-man Marine force recon team sitting there at Sigonella. Even if I only got 50 of them over there, that would have been significant in turning the situation around. We may not have been able to save the ambassador, but we certainly could have saved those other two SEALs that were over on the annex.

ADMIRAL LYONS: In perpetuating this lie, we also had administration officials lying to Congressional committees. That’s a felony. So, “What difference does it make?” It makes all the difference in the world. You cannot flaunt the truth here, just walk away from it and, basically, tell the American public to stuff it. That’s not acceptable.

The point on the organizing the two Marine anti-terrorist teams in Rota, that was good to go ahead and stand ’em up. What I find incomprehensible: The first team, it took them 23 hours to go a few hundred miles from Rota to Tripoli. I could go around the world in 23 hours, so that makes absolutely no sense to me.

There is no doubt whatsoever that the assets were in motion preparing to receive an order to go.

How the military preps.

How an embassy rescue works.

Cross Border Authority.

Elijah, Carney, Obama and Clinton are just unconvicted criminals.

And they will never be. The communists Democrats are controlling America to the degree that their criminal activities are in accordance with their laws. Take Holder for instance.

It’s a simple concept: While the attack was happening, nobody could know how long it would last, so nobody could know if military support would be too late or not.
