“I hope all the people that stayed home on election day are satisfied.”

I hope all the idiots that supported Romney
in his endless attacks on CONSERVATIVES,
before he gave up, are happy now that
he made Obama the Tyrant x 2.

FOREIGNERS were contributing the Obama and Clinton campaigns without criminal prosecution of the campaigns or donors.

What difference do they hope to make by shutting up American donors???

They don’t need to. Bammy will just write an Executive Order.

Good point. A vote is wasted effort. OTrauma has a phone and a pen.

Patriots need to bear in mind that, regardless of the saber-rattling by Constitution-ignoring federal Democratic & RINO lawmakers, only the states can ratify proposed amendments to the Constitution.

The Dem Party Plan:

1. Do whatever it takes to achieve and retain the Presidency, both Houses of Congress, the Supreme Court and the lower courts.
2. Once this is achieved, The Law won’t apply to those in power.
3. And this will clear the way for the passage of laws that limit any and all political activity by either Dems or Republicans.
4. This allows you to throw Republican supporters who violate the law in jail.
5. But, since you are in power, you can violate the law willingly and openly without any fear of imprisonment.

Unfortunately The Plan is working. Our current Attorney General and Senator Chuckie are simply a little ahead of their time. But not by much.

Schumer “will push a constitutional amendment to the full floor later this year that would give Congress the power to impose strict limits on campaign finance.”

Well, what could go wrong with this? They’ve done such a bang up job with the economy, health insurance, defense, foreign relations, the environment, property management, etc. Certainly, they can’t foul this up... Can they?

Is a sarc tag really needed?

“Campaign finance reform restrictions are always pitched as ‘Let’s prevent corruption, let’s hold politicians accountable,’ and they do exactly the opposite,” said Sen. Ted Cruz, Texas Republican. “Every single restriction this body puts in place is designed to do one thing — protect incumbent politicians.”
Hear, hear!!!
Campaign restrictions arbitrarily promote journalists at the expense of citizens who are not journalists. On what basis should that be done? Is the revenue journalists derive from advertising cleaner than my money, or yours? Are journalists priests of objectivity, whose perspective defines the public interest? No!

Lift the cap and require full disclosure.
The cap is unconstitutional, and shouldn’t exist at all.

As for full disclosure, if pseudonyms were good enough for the authors of The Federalist, they are OK. Full disclosure opens the way to intimidation, which is what the Mormons were subjected to when they opposed gay “rights" (IIRC).

The totalitarian impulse of the Left is now to ban speech it doesn’t like.

Simply because the other side has a lot of money. Someday, it will be our freedom to speak our minds that will be its next target and then it will shut down Free Republic.

The Democrats have just declared open season on our First Amendment.

he would have been neutered if we had two the executive branch as well as half of the legislative. There would be more of a chance of having democrats in risky positions voting for anything when they know what lies ahead.

Senate Democrats are cornered and a cornered animal is positively dangerous.

The good news is their effort to protect incumbent politicians will go nowhere.

Like it or not, Schumer is simply the SMARTEST POLITICIAN in Washington.

At this point, he’s got the House REPUBLICAN leadership essentially BEGGING him to help pass Amnesty, so that this country can have 30 MILLION new Democrat voters.

I’m not quite sure what he’s up to here, but given his success on Amnesty, I suspect he will get WHATEVER HE WANTS from the House.

Yes. It is fault of the coward who had no spine
except to attack CONSERVATIVES, and who took
the rest of the time defending Obama.
