Is this proposed white league a reaction to what he said?
They'll be lucky to field more than two teams with the number of players who would actually be qualified.
I would bet that this was put out there specifically to draw the howls of protests from the very same people who thought an all-black league was a good idea.
Maybe it would be fun to purposely flood the media with ridiculous ideas like this then sit back and watch the leftists explode? Sort of a Cloward-Piven race fest.

The reporter didn't do his job: He should have asked the Mayor of Augusta if he would also condemn an all-black league that was eyeing his town for one of their black-only teams.
When one hits the link for the Augusta Chronicle in the article, and it just goes to another page of the Daily News, well, it confirms what I thought from the git-go.

An all-white league would be an outrage. Next they’ll try to claim that the game was invented by a white man.
