Post-ABC News poll shows Democrats at risk in November as Obama’s approval rating falls

Democrats face serious obstacles as they look to the November elections, with President Obama’s approval rating at a new low and a majority of voters saying they prefer a Congress in Republican hands to check the president’s agenda, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.

Obama’s approval rating fell to 41 percent, down from 46 percent through the first three months of the year and the lowest of his presidency in Post-ABC News polls. Just 42 percent approve of his handling of the economy, 37 percent approve of how he is handling the implementation of the Affordable Care Act and 34 percent approve of his handling of the situation involving Ukraine and Russia.

Meanwhile, the GOPe hierarchy, fearing the inherent responsibilities of majority status, plot the implosion of candidacies of conservative challengers to democrat incumbents.

With just 191 days until Nov. 4 midterms, nervous Democrats are scrambling to find an effective answer to the Obamacare question they may fear the most: "Where is the $2,500 in health insurance savings President Obama and Democrats promised me?"

Obama complied--- Reid chalked up another vote for Obamacare---and the $4.3 Landrieu giveaway was attached to the Obamacare bill.

Landrieu, critics believe, pledged her vote in exchange for some $200 million more additional federal funds for Louisiana. You go on to note that you hope that 37% or so of the population doesn't approve of Obama. I think that what is going on is that there is a huge percentage of the American electorate who are not aware of anything political and when asked by pollsters they just say that they support the president. The interesting part of this is the poll was taken among 1,000 adults. Typically that sort of poll skews left and even it is highly anti Democrat/Obama. I wonder what a poll of likely voters would look like?
