Actually it was once, in 1976, and he won the nomination the next time, just like Romney. But nobody has been renominated by his party after losing since Adlai Stevenson lost to Ike twice.

If you will be so kind, please respond to my earlier post: WHY are you a Republican? It is a serious question. I honestly want to know WHY you choose to be a Republican instead of a Democrat if you have no problems with Romney.
