Climate change is evidence of the death-wish of capitalism (Climate Freak tells the Truth)
Green Leaf ^ | April 26, 2014 | By Renfrey Clarke

Posted on 04/27/2014 7:09:05 AM PDT by Oldeconomybuyer

If modern industrial capitalism were a person, he or she would be on suicide watch. The system that has brought us quantum physics and reality television, modern medicine and the columns of Andrew Bolt is set on a course which, by all the best reckoning, points directly to its doing itself in.

If capitalism goes on — everything goes. Climate, coastlines, most living species, food supplies, the great bulk of humanity. And certainly, the preconditions for advanced civilisation, perhaps forever.

Moreover, we’re not just talking risk, in the sense of an off-chance. These are the most likely outcomes for capitalism’s current policies and performance in the area of climate change.

Rulers in the capitalist world are not remotely contemplating action on the scale needed to contain the crisis.

The timelines of climate catastrophe are long, and in capitalism’s systemic suicide it is not, on the whole, today’s corporate chiefs who are fated to perish. Theirs is strictly a proxy death-wish. The brief, unhappy lives and early graves are to be the lot, mostly, of future generations.

As the renowned American philosopher and linguist Noam Chomsky put it recently, “In the moral calculus of capitalism, greater profits in the next quarter outweigh the fate of your grandchildren.”

All the more reason for working people, who have no stake in the survival of capitalism, to consign the system to the historical dumpster.

These evil bastards use “Capitalism” when they are talking about Liberty.

And they hate both with a passion.

“And they hate both with a passion.”

They want pretty much what Hitler wanted. Ultimate government control; and mass elimination of those who don’t agree. Dissent will not be tolerated.

They seek a new Feudal Age. Serfs labor in the fields, Lords live in the big house up on the hill. One set of laws for serfs, another set of laws for lords. They seem sure that they are the ones who will be sitting at the banquet table.

As the renowned American philosopher and linguist nut case and morally degenerate Noam Chomsky put it recently, “In the moral calculus of capitalism, greater profits in the next quarter outweigh the fate of your grandchildren.”

But of course in reality we know that the true statement would be “In the moral calculus of capitalism, Stateism greater profits control in the next quarter outweigh the fate of your grandchildren. Everyone who is not a member of your elite little cabal.”

Liberals are opposed to individual liberty as defined in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. The only real issue they have with chattel slavery in America two hundred years ago is that the slaves were privately owned.

They are all orgasmic over the idea of slavery to the state.

Democrats never pass up on opportunity to tell us why enslavement by the state is for our own protection and our own safety, because life under the anarchy that conservatives want to impose is just too risky and dangerous. We can't have any of that inhumane "on-your-own economics" that conservatives advocate.

Thereby proving that you no longer have to be black to be an Uncle Tom.

No people on earth despoiled and devastated greater regions than communists. East Germany, North Korea, USSR, China...you name it, the ruling elite there have NO regard whatsoever about the environment. I remember reading about a fluorescent bulb manufacturing plant site found after the wall went down...Square miles covered in toxic waste.

The dictators enrich themselves at the expense of society and the hoi polloi.

There are no better managed natural resources in the US than those in private capitalist hands. Capitalists understand the need to be good shepherds of resources for their future use and corporate earnings growth. Communists simply don’t have those motivations.

The author is an idiot who attempts to refute basic human nature. All leftism is populated by complete idiots who, in the end, want nothing more than everybody to be enslaved to a few tyrannical rulers.

So a dyed-in-the-wool Communist (Democrat) states that the world/planet's salvation lies in communism. No matter which plague is the flavor of the decade,e.g., industrialists, the bourgeoisie, over population, AGW, or capitalism, the cure for these statists is always communism.

The success of communism under the CCCP lay in its ability to drug the masses (and kill them off early) with vodka. You run out of vodka, or marijuana, and the people wake up.

Dr. Renfrey Clarke sounds like a fool.

This article does indicate that in addition to being "a qualified and highly experienced editor, a journalist, a specialist in international studies, a book editor, a secondary English teacher, a newspaper correspondent reporting from Latin America and Russia, a noted translator with dozens of titles to his credit in the areas of history, politics, philosophy and economics (as well as one who has lectured at the University of New South Wales and the University of South Australia)," Dr. Renfrey Clarke has indeed managed to add "fool" to his list of credentials.

I was a bit curious how Lake Baikal figured into this discussion.

The Aral Sea does make more sense.

Where’d you find this piece of satire? Environmental science often has more to do with anti-capitalism than with science.

'They seem sure that they are the ones who will be sitting at the banquet table.'

They don't get it. If what the LIV's espouse actually happens, it won't take long for their masters to reclassify them all as 'useless eaters' and dealt with accordingly.

Their 'new lives in the great future' will be in the grave, at the hands of those they helped raise into power.

This has to be satire. If the Left is believing this it is time to roll out Jonathan Swift's A Modest Proposal. They would eat it up. It would be an alternative to abortion; another of their sacrificial rites of their atheist cult.

If capitalism goes on — everything goes.

If capitalism goes then capital accumulation goes, and if capital accumulation goes, capital intensification goes, and then there will be no means of implementing the technological advances required for people to survive the adverse consequences of global warming.Capitalism is needed to solve the problems caused by capitalism.

The invention of “climate change” is evidence of the failure of the marketing of Socialism and Central Authority.

The can’t sell their nonsense on its merits, so they attempt to scare people into giving up their FREEDOM.
