Sure we have tens of thousands of troops on the Ukraine border ourselves, but the Ukraine is threatening us by preparing to defend itself.

Russia is like an abuser that beats you more when you resist, and blames your resistance for the beating. Sounds like so many videos I see of American law enforcement these days. They beat the hell out of someone for no reason and then beat them some more if the person doesn't submit to the beating. And then the person gets accused of 'resisting arrest' which anymore just means 'Contempt of Cop'.
