Hey neighbor!!
Probably moon Nazi’s
Rush went on a bit too long in the first segment, but no interuptions.
I remember that...it was CNN.
there have been large solar flares recently .....interruptions not a big surprise
“there have been large solar flares recently .....interruptions not a big surprise”
A solar flare will hit HF transmissions, but it’s rare to hit AM or FM. Such a blackout would get many stations, not just one.
And for the flare to insert a quote from Bundy in the middle of the RF blackout is quite a trick, even for the Sun.
What???? You mean the sainted Rush has technical problems???? Oh noes!!
Howdy!
It happens with great regularity on my local Clear Channel affiliate during all of their programming, not just Rush. I believe, at least in this region, it’s a combination of paltry tech budgets, aging equipment, and underqualified staff. All of that is most likely the consequence of Clear Channel’s monopoly. If they don’t spend the money to maintain qualified staffing levels and equipment in good repair, where ya gonna go?
Hmmm - the simplest explanation - some dud engineer accidentally cuts the Limbaugh program, leaving live dead air for a couple of minutes, then by chance starts a playback device that just happens to be cued to a quote so inflammatory it has conservatives all over the country at each others’ throats, then just as the segment ends wakes up to his mistake and after a few more minutes of empty air puts Limbaugh back on the line out - or - some vengeful intolerant, irresponsible, immoral leftwing puke - but then I repeat myself - finds himself in a technical job at a conservative talk radio station like WPHT in Philadelphia and sees a chance to maybe embarrass Limbaugh and outrage his listeners by playing a spot that has conservatives all over the country at each others’ throats in place of some of Rush - and so he does - I vote for B......
I knew someone who worked at a radio station that played mainly piped in programs. His job was to handle the local stuff, the ads, weather and traffic.
One Sunday morning he fell asleep while working. He woke up with a start and realized there was no sound coming from the program and figured the feed had gone dead. He panicked and quickly threw on some music. Some rock and roll.
Unfortunately the feed had not gone dead. The Sunday morning program was a church service and the minister had just asked for a moment of silence to remember something or other. That moment of silence was shattered by Jr. Walker and the All Stars!
The radio station’s owner soon came flying into the parking on on two wheels. He was fired! LOL
Thanks for that! hee hee
