The states need to clamp down on this with “Police de-Paramitarization laws”. These consist of four parts.

1) The state police develop a list of authorized police equipment of all kinds. Any police department that has unauthorized equipment must turn it over for safekeeping by their county Sheriff, and it must be stored in Sheriff’s department facilities. Variances to the list for special needs must be approved by the state Attorney General.

2) No direct official communications are permitted between local police departments and federal agencies or their representatives or contractors, except through the state police. Nor can the local police departments directly accept or use federally supplied money or equipment, to include communications equipment.

3) No information obtained through secret means without a written warrant is admissible in state courts. (The AZ legislature is considering this law.)

4) The state police academy will adopt its curriculum to emphasize traditional constitutional law and respect for the bill of rights. Emphasize that enforcing the letter of the law while ignoring common sense is to be discouraged.

Too bad we don't have a free press that could go in and ask the police exactly who they think they're going to be fighting with the tanks and all - citizens or common criminals? Radical Muslims? Who is the enemy?

Liberals need to understand once the police are militarized they'll be that way for liberals AND for conservatives.

Naaa. For REAL soldiers & Marines in combat, the Rules of Engagement are way too restrictive to make these BLM/ATF/IRS etc Rambo wanna-bes happy. Plus real military unit leaders are held accountable for those under their command.
