As China and Japan Prepare for War, American Forces Battle over Turf
The American Thinker ^ | April 23, 2014 | David Archibald

Many readers of American Thinker may be thinking that a war between China and Japan, with or without the US being involved, is precluded by the fact that it would be stupid and destructive. Nevertheless, the people who are actually going to fight that war are continuing to prepare for it. Chinese shaping of the psychological battle-space continues. The latest development is the seizure of a Japanese cargo ship in China with the excuse being compensation for two Chinese ships leased by Japan in 1936. The Japanese have announced the building of a radar station on the farthest of the Yaeyama Islands, Yoneguni.

This snuck up on me today. And Obama is in Japan today with a can of gasoline.

In the West Putin is in the process of shreading NATO and China in the East is going to do the same to SEATO.

Its kind of shocking that things have gotten to this point so quietly and quickly over there.

The economic repercussions of such a war in the states could be tremendous.

Of course our MSM has had its nose too far up Obama's arse to notice WWIII coming down the pike.

Our media can’t see it, but Obama’s weakness is bringing the world to the brink of war, and our military is concerned with rewriting policies to accommodate homosexuals. Our experienced, war savvy generals have been retired, replaced with experts in intercultural relations, tolerance, and political correctness. The left has achieved its dream of Europeanizing our military, and strong men around the world are taking advantage of it.

From the Xinhua Press Service today:

"The US-Japan alliance, a bilateral arrangement made in the Cold War, should not undermine China's territorial sovereignty and legitimate rights, a Chinese spokesman said on Wednesday.

The comment came after U.S. President Barack Obama said the Diaoyu Islands "fall within the scope of Article 5 of the US-Japan Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security" in an interview with the Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper ahead of his arrival in Tokyo on Wednesday.

"We firmly oppose putting the Diaoyu Islands within the scope of the US-Japan Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security," Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said at a daily news briefing. Qin urged the United States to respect facts, take a responsible attitude, and honor its commitment of not taking sides on territorial sovereignty issues."

This won't end well for Obama.

Obama’s experience at making and enforcing chooming policies won’t save him now.

In a contest between China and Japan I predict lots of suffering on both sides and a Japanese victory.

When it comes to war, the Japanese are bat $hit crazy.

If they felt they had to do it they would go to the extreme of contaminating all Chinese industrial cities with plutonium. They have tons of the stuff you know...

When I first read the headline I thought it was one of the history posts about WWII battles that are posted on FR every few days.

Then I realized this is happening now.

It’s all so strange. But maybe not so strange considering who we have as president right now.

Two large hardened aircraft shelters are perched atop the camouflaged area on the Northeast extreme of the base:

There are also a number of J-20’s and ground vehicles parked at the west end of the strip.

This base has lots of skirting for transport a/c during a surge.
