President Obama is currently en route to Paine Field in Air Force One, where he will go up to Oso to visit with locals, including Snohomish County Councilman Dave Somers. Oh, but Somers isn't a local: he's from South Snohomish County. The Councilman who actually represents the district, Ken Klein, who lives just a few miles from Oso, wasn't invited. Somers is a Democrat, and Klein is a Republican. Maybe it's not directly partisan: maybe Somers just has connections (which are probably partisan, to a large degree). But if the President is going to spend a ton of money coming out here and tying up traffic, shouldn't he at least invite the only local representative that the Oso residents have? --snip--
Obama has put enough time between the event that he won't significantly impact recovery efforts, but it's still not helpful for him to be here, and the fact that he is not even meeting with any of the state or local representatives for Oso just highlights that this is about himself, not Oso.

He’s the president of the homosexuals, the government unions, K Street, Silicon Valley, politically-connected blacks, radical Hispanics, academia and the far-left feminists. If you don’t fit into one of those groups you’re SOL.
Nice Article.
Too bad this writer can’t bring his succinct honest observance to the NYT. had to go through the entire Sunday Times for an assignment. Yuk.
Why would Klein want to meet Obama? I wouldn’t.
Wonder how many GA airfields lost money due to no-fly zone out thirty miles from Paine Field. Also, how much it cost for local and state.
That!!!
Tonight Wed April 2
Forecast Oso, Washington Wed, Rain and snow showers in the morning...Then rain and snow in the afternoon. Snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Snow level near 3000 feet.
He’s evil, and should be dealt with as you would any evil being.
Visiting a month after the event seems a bit uncaring even by the standards set by this administration.
Maybe there was a fundraiser nearby.
He had a month to practice how to pronounce the towns’ name...a 3 letter word and blew it. Pray for Oso.
