I’m one of those that gets a tear in my eye when I see the famous paintings. I still have high regard for those men and women that came so long ago to found this country. They were flawed and sinful human beings along with their own hangs ups, fears, doubts and, yes, prejudices just like all of us. But they had an uncommon faith in a great God. They knew his forgiveness and mercy and a good deal of them, certainly not all, were trying to bring their lives into conformity to His will and Word. Today’s generation, not so much. And that, as they say, makes all the difference. So... here’s what I tell these folks now, “One day you, along with these white privileged, racist Founders, will stand before a Holy God to give an account of your life. When that day comes, you might want to look around for those Founders because those Founders will either not be where you are or will be at the “cooler end” of the Lake of Fire. Just say’in.

My only criticism of your post is your reference to "prejudices," but not preferences. While the Founders may have had prejudices--not liking a vegetable not because of its taste, but out of some childish pique would be a prejudice;--the choices they made as adults with respect to social values, would more accurately be described as "preferences."

My point is that Conservatives should be very careful not to apologize for preferences that are deeply reflected in our social & Constitutional heritage. They go to the essence of the culture with which we identify.

Today’s generation of ingrates isn’t worthy of cleaning the door mat for the generation of our Founders! They sacrificed so much for us.

Jesus specifically called this current generation out as being miserable, blind, and wretched. The Lake of Fire will be overflowing with folks from this generation.
