I have viewed this video several times and come to the conclusion that it was staged. Blumenthal really didn’t even have to move, he was safe where he was. He was as close as he dared though.

Gee, I wonder why they have the yellow line at the edge of the platform. I’ll bet they have a sign at the station that says something like “Stand behind yellow line until train has come to a complete stop.”
