We used to run some truly odd schedules at sea.

You have to do SOMETHING to break the monotony.

Bug juice instead of coffee...something. Omelet instead of over easy...

One of my coworkers was an OS and he said they were working 6 on 6 off. What kind of idiot would approve a schedule like that.

How many times did we watch the same detective movie over and over again. How crazy was it to look forward to Mid-Rats.

I agree that the whole 18 hour day was stupid and confusing. I thought they did it to make the whole patrol a blur that you wouldn’t remember anything when you got in. I hated it.
