Ditto most mortgages. And in both lease and mortgage the insurance for the occupant clearly states no leasing.
I think Airbnb gets around that by providing umbrella coverage of some sort. But I wouldn’t want to test that with my own nest egg.
Its a cool idea but its venturing into uncharted legal territory.

And for good reason. Landlords vet their tenants so that
stuff like this is less likely to happen. The whole point is to avoid entrusting your property to mystery guests off the internet.
