Since the beginning of 2014 Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Police Superintendent Gary McCarthy have been touting a declining crime rate in the Windy City, but according to a new report by Chicago Magazine, they may be cooking the books.
"City leaders manipulated crime statistics to create the appearance of a rapidly decreasing rate of crime."

Happens all the time. That’s why it’s “so safe” in NYC compared to other cities. I just look and see if it’s a democrat spouting a statistic. If it is, then it’s a lie/myth/fabrication and the opposite of what they’re trying to validate with the false data is actually the fact.

Those hot summer evenings will be punctuated by constant gunfire in “gun-free” Chicago. Even Chicago-class liars won’t be able to hide the truth.

There are so very many examples like this. Huge, HUGE lies from the dems that directly lead to more people getting killed, spending money not needing to be spent because of lies, making decisions that cost all sorts of things because they were based on Democrat lies.
And yet not one opponent anywhere ever stands tall and pushes the issue. I do mot remember a pol in my lifetime that flatly called this scum liars on the campaign trail. Even Reagan toned it down, though he was far more aggressive than most.
Why? It’s a slam dunk win. Probably because most are themselves every bit the liars.
The problem is I think a lot of municipalities play with the numbers.
Sort of like having the referee as a member of the home team...

We don’t count black-on-black crime anymore because we just can’t effectively exploit it with our key demographic base.

One of the most effective things the NYC Police did under Giuliani was shorten the paperwork procedure for cops. This kept cops on the beat, making arrests and shutting down criminals. They had a roving van that worked as a station and handled all the paperwork for the cops. It is a brilliant idea and should be practiced in Chicago.

That happens a lot. I’d say that a plurality of crimes go unreported in bad neighborhoods. People just take care of it themselves or accept it as a part of life.
