I’m not at all aware of the political background here, so may be taking a chance with this statement.
But this seems clearly illegal.
It certainly isn’t right.
It seems like the more wealthy, privileged and powerful an elite family is, the more they feel entitled to freebies.

I don’t know that it’s illegal, but it should be taxable as income. Oh, and with back penalties. But given the current political state of state and federal taxes, he’ll probably never see an audit.
