Short of having the entire management & staff resign in protest, I’m not sure that Multnomah CAN do anything about the publishing of this book.

It appears that WaterBrook-Multnomah and Convergent Books are both owned by Random House.

“The Crown Publishing Group, a division of Random House, has announced the launch of Convergent Books, a new Christian imprint. Random House is the parent company of WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group, comprising WaterBrook Press and Multnomah Books.”

I have emailed Multnomah at the the link you provided, asking them to clarify the situation.

My guess is that Random House is trying to make a buck by publishing on both sides of the issue. Alternately, they are trying to “sow discord among the brethren”.

I say to Random House and ALL its subsidiaries bearing the label “Christian Publishing”, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” Isaiah 5:20
