You know, much as on the surface this angers me and inspires me, I have not looked at it in any detail and I’m not really sure what to make of it.

After all, isn’t this Fed property (no matter what you think of that in itself)? Can they not do what they want with it? Why is Bundy not an interloper? Why is this basically NOT like the thousands of cases of city apartment tenants not paying rent while landlords are not allowed to remove them (wherein the government protects deadbeats at the expense of property owners, ironically).

(Flame suit on. This is a legitimate innocent question, really.)

I to have looked at the situation at different times from different questions/views. What I make of it now is the following. The Bundys have a long and Mormon relationship with the land in contention. The land is part of a much larger area deeded to the USA by treaty with the Mexican government which had at sometime in some way acquired control. There have been other USA landowners on the same treaty land but for some reason have relinquished any rights. My suspicion is that such happened under a relatively recently devised USA government agency named BLM for various reasons and by various/devious means. The Bundys were the last owner/family standing for their own historical reasons and purposes. As long as the new BLM had no dedicated interest in the Bundy holdings the situation was allowed to ‘float’. Matters now switch to China. I am guessing that the Chinese, i.e. Government being in financial difficulties, made a call on money the USA owed. The Obama enablers scurried around to find how they could get the Chinese of their back, probably to keep having money to pay for their projects. VOLA! The USA has some land out west in Nevada where some Chinese interests want to build Chinese solar mega watt solar sites to go along with new housing developments. The USA has some closely connected people who happen to be related to all-USA sanctimonious Senator Harry Reid. Reid has enough influence with the Obama enablers to payoff the Chinese and have the family make a bundle with the help/influence of the Feds. A big problem exists in that the sites the Chinese wanted for development are being used to raise cattle by the Bundy family under past allowances/arrangements. VOLA again. The USA government will now put a call for the Bundys to do what went on with previous land holders i.e. quit and desist any future cattle operations on the land the USA acquired by treaty with Mexico which is apparently under different statutory law than that acquired from the French to the east of Nevada. Problem/situation solved for Obama and the Reids with help from uniformed personnel who apparently like being government goons than ordinary citizens.
