You are right by a synagogue, I know exactly where you are. That is not it.

That is the Torah Learning Center, near 103rd and Metcalf in Overland Park.

I attend there, that is why I reacted with such Horror when I first read this story. I had just been there.

You may be thinking of Beth Israel Abraham & Voliner Synagog. The JCCC is at the edge of the Sprint Campus a bit northeast of 117th & Nall. Village Shalom (the retirement home) is at 123rd & Nall. The elementary school is at 123rd & Lamar, 2 blocks from my apartment. Frightning! Please pray for the victims and their families. From reports, the teenage boy and his grandfather murdered at the JCCC were there for the musical contest try-outs, and they were NOT Jewish (Not that it matters! They're just as dead!)
