That’s exactly what I was thinking. How does she have so much power? And you have to be crazy to think that a 6’4” young man with a large build needs the same nutrition as a 5’ young woman. The whole thing is just nuts!

This is the same group that brought you health care that requires men and 60 year old women to pay for insurance for their medical care when they are having a baby

This is what happens when more government is the answer to every question. Government programs leave no room for judgement or exceptions. One size fits all.

The truth be known, there are high school kids who should be taking 6000 calories a day and others who should be getting 1500.

Have to agree with you Essie. My son it 6’4 and a weight lifter, going to be a physical therapist, built real solid now. He says the school lunch is more like a snack for him, and a crappy one at that! LOL

“How does she have so much power?”

The answer is quite obvious. She has the power because PEOPLE GIVE IT TO HER. There is no law that requires schools to answer to the federal government when it comes to their lunch menu - but there is a price you pay if you want money from the feds for school lunches.

We’re complaining to the wrong people. She would be POWERLESS if local school districts simply told her to take a hike, and ran their lunch programs by either using taxes (if they really think they need to subsidize) or simply charging kids for the food. If the kids don’t have the money (mom spent it on drugs again, for example), then the kids don’t eat - no different than today, when they get a Michelle-meal and throw it out anyway.
