Prosecutors say a man charged with murdering nine people in California has told authorities that he has killed up to 40 people.
Errek Jett, a district attorney in Lawrence County, Alabama, said Wednesday that 51-year-old Jose Manuel Martinez told investigators he carried out the crimes working as an enforcer for a drug cartel.
Prosecutors in California say the slayings happened over 30 years.

An earlier NBC News report said he’s a citizen. However, I wouldn’t believe NBC is they said water is wet.

Yee did say he had contacts down near the border.
This guy was a drug enforcer, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he was getting his weapons (probably untraceable) through one of Yee’s contacts.
I’m still waiting to see national outrage over Leland Yee, btw...or even much press coverage, for that matter.
Watch him get put into witness protection by promising to tell on the cartels and live a better life than most Americans despite the evil he has committed. Hell zero might even offer him a position a some kind of czar, he’d fit right in this misadministration.
