I want to hear their solutions for the hodgepodge of dumbed-down state standards that have created group mediocrity in our schools.

So Washington needs to swoop in and impose one "dumbed-down" standard on the whole country. That is the problem with the whole Bush clan. They never challenge if DC should even get involved in something the first place. Their claim to fame is they will manage the administrative state better than the other guy but they do nothing about changing the size and scope of Washington. So we get American with Disabilites act under Bush the Elder, Medicare expansion and No Child Left Behind with Bush the Younger, and the hell knows what the Dauphin Bush will do if he is coronated.

No...the “divide” is between the Constitution and Freedom loving Americans, and the rest who are either ignorant or evil.

I just read another headline here on freerepub that states a new, big wave of illegal immigrants is coming due to economic conditions in Mexico and in S. American countries. I don’t know about you, but to me the plan to merge the U.S., Mexico and Canada into one big socialist economic block is continuing unabated. The Bush family, of course, is helping to lead the way.

Jebbie needs to read about the Bracero program.

Why it was started: World War II & labor market

And why Jack Kennedy ended it : It took jobs away from Americans.

I voted for him when I lived in Florida. Today I won’t, no to Illegal immigrants, no to Common-core education.

I am just sick and tired of these tax and tax and spend politicians of both parties. Also Illegal means ILLEGAL! Thousands of legal immigrants had to jump through hoops and prove all sorts of things before they could come and live here.

Illegals just waltz in and our government bends over backwards to cater to them, citizens don’t even get the same consideration as the illegals do.

In this vast country called America there are problems that need solving, and Jeb has the answer. Big, central government, and lots of it. Who needs the Tea Party when they have Common Core and amnesty in their corner? Jeb is also big on Obamacare for illegals.

“the tea party’s hold on his party.”

There is a WORLD of discussion in that sentence fragment.

Jeff Bush loves undocumented immigrants, but, where is his love for the millions of Americans unemployed? There are 91 million Americans out of the work force.

Thanks to Obama we have the lowest participation in the work force since the 1970’s and some demagogues want to open wide our borders to hundreds of millions around the world who would love to enjoy the American dream... but that dream is becoming in an American nightmare for those born here and those who came legally to enjoy our way of life loving the U.S. as much as their country of birth.

What is even more aggravating is that people who entered the country illegally are demanding rights and privileges that American citizens do not enjoy and they did not dare to demand from the government of their own country.

California used to be the richest state of America. Now it is almost bankrupt. Anybody can see the result of uncontrolled illegal immigration, and companies are leaving to Texas, Florida and other red states with less taxes and better incentives to invest and prosper.

In fact, unemployment is now lower in Mexico than in U.S.; perhaps Americans will start moving south.

“....and prove all sorts of things before they could come and live here.”

.
Back in the 50’s, those immigrants who had a desirable industrial trade needed by the US, were placed in front of the line.

Joe Stalin created the “Five Year Plan” that never achieved its goal over and over again.

W Bush’s NCLB promised 100 percent proficiency in math and reading mandated from Washington in 10 years, just like Paul Ryan claims he has a 10 year down the road plan to balance the budget.

The way we have been hustled by these politicians and are being hustled by them is becoming clearer than ever to me.
