Techies deserve it. Many vote for clean energy and drove out blue collar jobs in “dirty” industries. In place of it they develop high tech which employs far less people then “dirty” industry. Few high paying techies are unable to help local economies. Instead it creates small enclaves of ritzy coffee shops and restuarants and high price hip stores while everyone else is locked out of the star trek like jobs and facilities. Contrast that with gas and oil fracking. Large number of good paying jobs hire large numbers of blue collar workers as well as tech/engineers The aggregate impact of this large well paid work force is translated into the local economies. Look at the states/localities that frack. Economy is booming and employment is high. Look at the states/localities that have only high tech (software, biotech, nanotech, etc etc etc). You see small enclave of wealth while everyone is poor. Worst many of these high paying techies believe in outlawing fracking, amnesty for illegal immigration, and more guest tech workers and vote for Dems. Result is more poor people and competition for American jobs and high unemployment. Now the Dem poor are attacking the Dem high paying cool tech hipster. Love it Love it. If GOP is smart, say nothing and let them kill each other.

We do, do we?

Here in Georgia we call it "gentrification" and "technological advancement", both of which are prime components of true fiscal conservatism. I'm sorry that my tech work is making you unhappy, but I'm helping to create the future based on the "Work smart, not hard." principle. Maximum gain for minimum effort.

What I detect in your screed is a lot of what the liberals call "class envy". It doesn't sit well. Might want to think about that.
