From the Corvallis Gazette-Times:

Members of the Tea Party and those who share their concerns are invited to a rally from 11a.m. to 1p.m. Saturday (April 12, 2014) in front of the Benton County Courthouse on fourth Street in Corvallis.

Organizers said the rally will address such issues as the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, the Internal Revenue Service's scrutiny of the tax status of conservative groups and the activities of the National Security Agency.

They said the Tea Party favors tax reform, energy independence, lowering the national debt, a reduced federal government, a balanced federal budget and fewer regulations on business.

U.S. flags and signs will be available at the rally. For more information, call 541-745-5374

Corvallis, Oregon is a town of about 50,000 and home of Oregon State University, a typical bastion for liberalism. It'll be interesting to see the response we get from the Left. All are invited.

I agree with you, Corvallis is very liberal. Probable the only town more liberal is Eugene. It will be interesting to see how the Tea Party does. Most of the farmers are conservative though.

We usually get 20-30 people. Maybe a big election year will draw more out.
